Greetings, friends! I was recently visited by strange thoughts. What do you think, but how Lara Croft Refers to alcohol? In many ways, the answer will depend on what kind of Lara Croft to consider. T.e. from which part of the franchise – from the classical series of games? From the 1st restart? From the last trilogy? Or generally from comics, films, etc.p.? Well … Let’s understand!

Part 1: Lara Croft in the classic series of games Tomb Raider

Let’s start, perhaps, with the classic Lara Croft. It was a fairly eccentric heroine who was associated with luxury. Her image in the classical series of games is not only adventures and artifacts, but also the status of an aristocrat. Lara comes from a rich family, and presenting her with a glass of expensive wine or champagne is quite simple. But were there any mention of her addiction to alcohol in original games? No. Except perhaps a pair of advertising arts, which can hardly be considered a canon of a series of series.

Part 3: The Last Trilogy of Games (2013-2018)

With the release of the last trilogy, the image of Lara Croft changes dramatically. She becomes young, not experienced, vulnerable and much less sophisticated and aristocratic. In this trilogy, alcohol still begins to flicker in some scenes, but rather among the surroundings of Lara.

For example, in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, at the celebration of the dead day, Lara gives his friend John – a bottle of beer, and he drinks her with pleasure during a dialogue. Her focus on goals and the fight against injuries of the past is occupied by all her thoughts, and Lara could hardly have been interested in such primitive fast pleasures as a drink. Her body and mind are an instrument, and Lara Croft clearly understands that he cannot afford to relax in this way.

Part 4: Lara Croft in films

What about films? In full -lengths with Angelina Jolie (2001 and 2003) Lara – this is the personification of a classic eccentric aristocrat. In these films, she could calmly drink champagne at some social event, although there are still no scenes where she does it in these films.
